Crunchy Cheetos Are Better Than Puffy Cheetos
I'm on my way back from a whirlwind week in the Netherlands. I'll try to post a little about those adventures at some point, but I have a lot of e-mail and messages to catch up on. I tried to keep up since I did have regular Internet access, but it never seemed like it was enough time to catch up with everything.
I'm at the airport in Philly now, waiting for a flight to Seattle, catching up on message boards. Which seem to be focused on rock stashing, another LbNA vs. AQ debate (which I thank everyone for keeping civil, even if no new ground is being turned up), and wassa's surprise theme (he didn't even give ME any warning about that one!--I had to read the about page to figure out what was going on myself!)
But my favorite post so far is the Cheetos post--which is better, crunchy or puffy? Anyone with a sophisticated pallet such as myself knows that the crunchy Cheetos are better. I'll even stand on a trash can and say that if it helps me be heard better. Crunchy is best! =) Why would you just want to eat air?
Amanda will deny it--she's a puffy girl--but she also thinks Jack In the Box is "low class" which kind of ruins her credibility in my book. =)
As for rock stashing, I don't plan to support it. Granted, things like virtuals, postals, and such aren't real letterboxes, but at least they still have stamps involved. Frankly, it sounds like something wassamatta_u would have made up (never trust a man that wears giant boxers--that's what my mom always warned against!), except that I can see the IP addresses and they didn't match.
I planted three boxes while in the Netherlands. Hope some of you get a chance to find some of them! (Especially the Pancakes with Windmills box. That place is like walking through a living fairy tale!)

I guess I need to catch up on the boards, because I missed the Great Cheeto Debate '09. But I will state for the record that PUFFY Cheetos are SO much better. They just melt in your mouth!
And I have never been to Jack in the Box - they don't exist in this area. ;)
I love both crunchy & puffy! Sometimes I really want to crunch away on Cheetohs. Sometimes I want them to melt in my mouth.
I love the Jack in the Box TV ads ~ so funny! Their food is good, too, though I prefer Burgerville.
. . . sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't . . .
I agree! Crunchy Cheetos are clearly superior!
On the cheeto debate I am of no use I eat both they are cheesy that is all that matters...
On the Jack in the box debate----
HOW IN THE WORLD can you eat somewhere that has poisoned and killed several people including babies... NEVER will I eat there!!
Goofy girl
Oh, I will have to side with Amanda on this one! Puffy is waaaaay better. AND Jack in the Box is not high class. For that you have to get an In and Out Burger. You are lucky enough to live on the west coast near those! Wish we had them here....
;)
I like the baked ones myself and Jack in the Box ROCKS!!!!!
Fresh after your dutch visit, I'll take the french fries with mayo."nodding"

Not only are the crunchy ones the best--but I have recently acquired some flamin' hot cheetos (sent to me by a kind soul all the way from CA), and if you have never tried any of those I say try to find yourself a bag.
"Granted, things like virtuals, postals, and such aren't real letterboxes, but at least they still have stamps involved."
Wish that were true of virtuals. About 95% of virtuals involve images captured from the web. But hey, virtual finders and hiders seem to prefer puzzles with web-image awards. Just doesn't feel remotely like letterboxing without the carved stamp image. Imagine letterbox postals where people mail each other a cut-out from a magazine.
You've clearly never had Golden Flake brand. Try their puffy ~ you won't go back!
Umm hello? Pirates Booty! Puffy cheetos are way better. Like TG said they melt in your mouth.

PUF-FY! PUF-FY! PUF-FY!
(Make sure you say that in a chanting voice while Simultaneously banging both fists on the table in front of you.)

Crunchy! No- Fluffy! Wait... uhhh
milkshake. definitely.
I think.
I'm all about the crunchy cheetos also. They are my favorite.
Amanda is dead on, puffy is way better. Herrs Chese Curls, the best. And the Jack in the Box adds freak me out.
Crunchy for sure, unless you are talking about Dutch Pancakes.
Living in the Midwest(Ohio), we don't do Jack here.
The saying is that "Cleveland Rocks", perhaps we should start looking for lost stones instead of letterboxes. Anyone out there want to report loosing their stones?
I like your randomized images, been thinking of doing something like that but I don't have as many nice pics as you do
I am definitely with you on this one, O' fearless leader. My vote goes to the Crunchy, but if you have never tried the Kroger brand crunchy cheese curl you don't know what you are missing. Less salt and better seasoning I think.
Secondly, Jack is back and on the high class food list!
Only Crunchy.
Put them one at a time in your mouth at suck off the wonderful salty cheese-like coating and then and only then crunch it up.
